iTunes export / import

OK so I have that large Hard Drive and I've moved all
my windows files onto it and I want to start using
the Mac for "all" my normal stuff! (No I can't play
FarCry on it!) and having still not found out about
all my photo tags, my fault not being that persistent
on finding the answer yet, I now want to move my
iTunes music well it seems a little more straight
forward, but I want to keep all those playlists and
metadata play count etc, I do already keep the
library external so it seems to be a painless method,
but I'll let you know how it goes. OK a small update
guess what yes I cheated, I have all of my music on a
seperate drive through my PC machine, so I backed it
all up to the 500 gb hd I got for the Mac, copied
across the iTunes library, and XML files across,
along with the Album Artwork etc, I then imported all
that into iTunes on the Mac, copied the xml across,
and although it didn't do all the work, I still have
to locate a few of the files, all of the counts and
rating's have come across. I do not recomend doing
this unless your a little computer savvy and don't
mind doing a bi of work updating atferwards. There
are methods to do it so it does all the work for you,
but you have to be a little meticulous with them.
