Automator rocks, don't know why this is easier in the
printing process to start with but hey ho I
understand not everything can be put everywhere. But
to the crux of the problem, I created a document in
Comiclife, that's a great app by the way, and
exported to PDF, via the print option, now that's
something that windows could learn from, however this
PDF file was 10 mb in size and to load this on to a
web site could mean all sorts of issues, not really
for me to load but for people to open the page
online. OK so the issue was how to decrease the size
of this file, I found an app that did the job for me,
great, but I'll only use this once perhaps twice a
month and the app costs $35 to expensive for that
usage. OK so what did I do yep searched the web, and
I found a forum that said use the Quartz option in
Automator, Ok so my first look into the Automator and
it was pretty much a breeze. I now have a little app
that asks me to locate a PDF file, and then shrinks
it back onto my desktop, cool, oh and it did a better
job than the $35 app even cooler!
