iWork 08

OK so today I thought that I'd try out iWork 08.
I downloaded the program and installed, as you would think it was a nice install process. I am of course trying the trial version.
The first app I tried was KEYNOTE, now opening up a template from work seemed to be OK, some of the text formatting was not quite right, but it was a template for the background so I wasn't to bothered about that. I got used to the different way that you do transitions, etc etc etc, at the end I could export in varios forms but the one I needed was quicktime movie, excellent now I can use all those cool transitions, and flyby's etc. ah perhaps not, the reason, we don't have quicktime at work and not being an administrator I am unable to install it. So that cool presentation had to be exported as a .ppt (powerpoint) and all that beautiful work was, yep you guessed it, wasted.
So then tried importing an .xls into numbers, now this was a home spreadsheet quite a few links and formatting and simple formulas. Numbers did not like a lot of the conditional formatting which was a shame, but other than that it looks like it would do the job, but only for home use! There's no way I could use this for work mainly because I'd have to learn the app to enable me to get round to all those little tricks that I can currently do. Shame because it looks good, still home use it'll be fine.
Will try pages at some later point.
